steve d Amy Smart deserved so much more than this. Her partner is completely unconvincing in his role and the story is paper thin. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review wilbur k As far a film making - this might only rate a 6 1/2. But, if you like West Coast Swing - this is a must see. Beginner WCS dancers will be able to relate to the challenge of working with a partner learning basics; 6 count and 8 count rhythms; the frustrations, plateaus and peak break thru moments. You may also recognize a lot of members of the West Coast Swing Community. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Frances H Pretty bad as far as plot, acting, etc. and so-so in dancing. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/11/14 Full Review Audience Member Movie with a lot of illogical stuff and scenario wasn't something ... Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member I don't know why but I kinda liked this film, maybe it was all the chemistry between instructor and student. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member i want to own this on dvd i found it first on netflix thanks to a friend that loves west coast swing dancing. so glad i took the time to watch it one of my favs. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Ben Mankiewicz At the Movies I'd say Love 'n Dancing felt like an after-school special about overcoming disabilities and being the best you can be, but I fear I'd be doing a disservice to after school specials. May 11, 2009 Full Review Ben Lyons At the Movies From the acting, to the music, to most importantly, the dancing everything feels amateur in this film. May 11, 2009 Full Review Robert Abele Los Angeles Times It is unfortunate when someone with a history of staging musical numbers and directing musical sequences can't make dialogue scenes flow. Rated: 1.5/5 May 8, 2009 Full Review Debbie Lynn Elias Behind The Lens Love N' Dancing -- touchy feely, fun-filled and frolicsome, filled with heart and romance and above all -- dance! Nov 14, 2019 Full Review Sean Gandert Paste Magazine The bottom line is that a few pretty dances aren't enough substance to make for a fulfilling, or even moderately entertaining movie when the rest of the material is so weak. Rated: 23/100 Jun 17, 2009 Full Review Jeff Vice Deseret News (Salt Lake City) If you cut the extraneous parts of Love n' Dancing -- you know, all the ones except for the dancing scenes -- it might not be a half-bad movie.
