Raymond D. @raydiaz 06/26/2023 Well made. Uplifting, tender and heart warming. ❤️ 💙 Leah (Lauren Ambrose) after losing her rabbi husband, convinces her husband's brother to go along in a mock marriage as an obligation to her synagogue. Jake (Adam Lever) drastically changes his life and goes above and beyond to comply with the obligation, agreeing to allow Leah to move into his aparment to keep appearances up. Lauren Ambrose's performance is endearing and melts the heart of the viewer. See more 05/08/2022 Ambrose is an appealing character, but the movie has all the Hallmarks (pun intended) one might expect, and leaves no cliche unused. See more 04/08/2021 One of my all time favorite movies. So well done, such great acting all around, but I thought that Jake tied it all together! The chemistry between Jake and Leah was indisputable and convincing. I loved it in 2008 and I love it today! See more 11/04/2020 What a sweet movie. I'm a sucker for very well-made romantic comedies and this one is the perfect blend of both. Had a few minor story errors in the middle of it, but I am willing to forgive it because of how well written this was. I will add this one to my collection. See more 09/01/2020 Lauren Ambrose does a terrific job! She uses her voice, body, and timing to create a believable innocence resulting from a cloistered upbringing. This was an unexpected, somewhat less formulaic Hallmark movie- very pleasant surprise. See more 09/02/2019 One of my favorite chick-flicks. See more Read all reviews
