Audience Member While MAD offers softer third act notes for the sisters and their mother, it presents no easy resolutions. Blunt and blistering with a manic if also elegant sincerity, Putka's brand of folly consistently contradicts itself like this merely because it is so human, so sad, and so true. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Just watched this fantastic feature film. The writer/director did an amazing job. The three lead actresses were incredible and the director got very strong performances from them all. The character of the younger daughter in particular is extremely talented. The dialogue is very, very good. It's economical but never boring or cliched. Again, the actresses really brought it alive and set the bar very high in every scene in this film. My only gripe (which isn't even a gripe, really) is that it never really was one person's movie...the three leads shared it, which was fine but their characters were so interesting that I wished the writer had chosen one to develop even more fully than he already did. This might have made the end of act 2 a little more dramatic. But I really, really commend whoever the writer/director is. It's tough to make any film, and a feature even more challenging. This guy really brought his script to life and there really was never a dull moment. I was happy to see this film made the festival circuit but wished that it had a theatrical release so that it would have an official tomato score. Looking forward to seeing more of this guy's work.. Great job! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

C.J. Prince Way Too Indie Putka knows how to write some great passive-aggressive barbs..., and his game cast do a great job making their arguments crackle until the acid-tongued screenplay gets the better of everyone. May 22, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews
