Less music-stuffed but more conceptually ambitious than the average music doc. Go to Full Review

"I'm not a businessman - I'm a business, man," he once famously rapped. It's a line that should be kept in mind when watching this entertaining but disingenuous film. Go to Full Review

Seriously, no one should sleep on the wisdom Jay-Z has to offer. This guy isn't one of the richest dudes in the music business on a fluke. He knows how to talk the talk and it is fun to watch him do it. Go to Full Review

The tone is too reverential, yet it keeps a pleasant rhythm. Go to Full Review

Mitchell B 04/11/2023 jayz and his team did a wonderful job on this doc. See more oliver m 03/25/2018 mediocre movie with great intentions! though I love Jay Z! Also D'Angelo and Pearl Jam are great but others are a let down. E.g. Janelle Monae and Rita Ora are simply awful... See more 08/31/2015 misto intimitatea cu artistii si povestea lor. muzica nu reiese asa de mult in prim plan, ci organizarea festivalului si povestile artistilor. m-am oprit dupa primele 30 de min See more 12/06/2014 A fun music documentary that tries to bring some social commentary in the mix, but is not totally successful. If only Howard had spent more time with the everyday people who are taking advantage of the opportunity of the festival. You could have still mixed in interviews with the artists, but it would have been a much better documentary if you showed how being Made in America was really possible. But the music is fun, and the performances are pretty great. If you're a fan of these artists, you'll probably find enough to enjoy here. See more 07/31/2014 7/10 Documentation of the Budweiser Made in America Festival, organized and founded by Jay-Z. Director is Ron Howard. Live Segments of Jay-Z, Rita Ora, Kanye, Odd Future, Run DMC, Janelle Monae, Skrillex, The Hives, D´Angelo, ...... Some Backstage Cuts. Artists and Festival Workers were interviewed, mostly they´re telling some boring motivational speeches, but the Live segments are too good, to be really annoyed by that See more 07/10/2014 Really good bits of well rounded performances.
