Arjun D @RT86934462 Aug 17 Lovely in so many ways, and great to have a cross cultural film that is unique like this. However, the lead character who has been pining for Korea her whole life, lands there and suddenly knows nothing. Not a word of Korean, or even house the buses work. Something she could just google. This authenticity is missing in her, which is a great shame as both the Tamil and Korean elements are excellent. A sadly missed opportunity. See more Igor S @Igor_Sena Aug 16 There is a really good movie somewhere inside this one. But the execution was sloppy. Many of the most important events happened because they needed to happen, instead of organically. Imagine someone saying it would be really cool for something to happen one day, and in the very next scene someone walks in and makes that thing happen. It made the progression of the story feel choppy, forced and too coincidental. It also felt like i was watching 3 or 5 different movies put together, and although i appreciate the unorthodox script, you have to tie those ideas better to make it work. But at some point, i just turned my brain off and that made me enjoy it much more. There were some really good moments. It has a good message overall, which i appreciated. I just wish we would have gotten a full resolution to the main character's love life. But i guess they didn't want to stray from the modern "women don't need man" message, which is a shame, because it would have been a good cherry on top. The trailer didn't do it justice. Was expecting to possibly be bored, but I was hooked, loved it! Beautiful scenes India and south Korea. Such a gem of a film. See more Raja L @RT87880943 Apr 16 Made in Korea… I know some people feel the title doesn’t match the content, but I see it differently. This is not a fight or commercial movie like many expect. It’s soft, simple, and honestly… it became a comfort movie for me. "Made in Korea" is not about action it’s about how her life transforms when she moves to a new country and experiences a different culture. Very beautiful, calm, and meaningful.
