Emphasizing sameness over difference, this is the kind of film rarely seen by those likely to benefit most from its universal message. Go to Full Review

Grace is most graceful when dealing with issues specific to gay parenting--fertility options, legal concerns and relatives' reactions. Go to Full Review

02/26/2011 Ann Krsul and Leslie Sullivan are a 40-something gay couple living outside of New York City who are in a committed relationship. Like many couples who have made a long-term commitment, Ann and Leslie have decided they would like to raise a child together, and their path to motherhood is charted in the documentary Making Grace. Director Catherine Gund follows Ann and Leslie as they decide to have a child, make the choice to use an anonymous sperm donor, and Ann carries the child to term, with the dozens of decisions and responsibilities along the way captured on tape. Its an eye opener and very enlightening documentary! Two thumbs up!! See more Read all reviews
