Ed Travis Hollywood Jesus Mandrill is heavy on well-staged action scenes and cheesy moments of humor and ill-advised pick-up lines. And while the spy yarn is fun, it isn't highly engaging or layered. Apr 1, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Marc Z Marko Zaror stars in a somewhat stylized James Bond type film about a hit man seeking revenge against the one eyed man who killed his father. This film reunited Zaror with the Director and Producer of Kiltro, but it is a much better film. It is shot well. It has a cool feel, although sometime like a Jose Cuervo commercial. Zaror is sleeker and cooler in this one. The look and feel are good. The story and action are well done. I would love to see this remade. There are many of the cast members of Kiltro in this one and the parties reunited this year for the award winning Fist of the The Condor. Now it is understandable why they have a natural fit in that one; from working together several times. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/01/23 Full Review Audience Member I love the 70s kung fu b-movie vibe. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Intriguing movie. Flashback to the 1970s. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a lot of fun watching Marko Zaror work. He's a great fighter and has good on-screen charisma too. Don't let the subtitles get you down. This movie is well worth watching. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Like the equally tiresome Black Dynamite, Mandrill presupposes that remaking creaky movies from a bygone era vouchsafes box-office returns. In this case, bar Chilean beefcake Zaror's best efforts, the retro silliness remains glumly resilient to all senses of humour except the oddest. So bad it's crap. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Un par de escenas divertidas y buena acción. El resto para el olvido Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews
