Audience Member Would work well in a double feature alongside Walkabout. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Manganinie is a 1980 film that deals with the plight of the Tasmanian Aborigines who suffered a rapid deterioration of their culture from the moment white settlers and convicts arrived in the island state. In this story, an aboriginal woman who observes that her race are in declining numbers, abducts a young white girl in order to teach her the ways of her people. The two lead characters are very good but the supporting cast are all a bit stiff and don't really exude much beyond their flat characterisations.
