Moderately entertaining and has impressive music courtesy of composer Engellau, but it doesn’t fulfill its potential. Go to Full Review

Manor of Darkness throws together great elements that never rise to more than the sum of their parts due to execution issues, but thanks to the actors and the time loop premise, I was still excited to see how this played out until the very end. Go to Full Review

Becky A Jan 22 This movie drops in little hints all the way through for viewers to pick up on, which I really liked. While the acting itself was absolutely abysmal, the plot was unique enough to keep my interest through to the end. Great twist to finish with, and unexpected. Worth a watch if there's not much else on that evening. See more Larry C @CatCakes Jan 19 Pretentious, dull and poorly executed. Filmmaker, Blake Ridder, seems to be more focused on his own fame and self importance than creating an original, well thought out and well crafted movie. As with his feature debut (the appropriately named 'Help'), this film is further evidence that Ridder would do well to let a project gestate for a while (perhaps beyond a first draft) before committing thousands of pounds, most if it no doubt other people’s, towards its production. Much like the plot of the film, I fear this group of filmmakers are doomed to re-live a creatively toxic cycle of sub-standard cinematic output until someone wakes up from the delusion. That being said, I’ve generously given 'Manor of Darkness' one full star because of the main actress’ performance. At times she brings a truth and dedication to the project which is like an oasis in a desert of lacklustre pretence. See more Read all reviews
