01/10/2022 Interviews with Duchamp's stepson (Paul Matisse) are insightful and are the highlight of the film, however too much time is filled with interviews of artists and critics making unremarkable "ahead of his time and other trailblazer comments. The chirpy music overwhelms the plodding comments. It is galling that Marina Abramovic is listed as a feature because she is overshadowed by dozens of male artists who take too much air time without saying much of substance. A 40-minute cut could have worked much better. Really too bad, as Duchamp was clever and deserves more attention. See more Read all reviews
