I have always loved this movie. And I am not sure people are understanding that this is a kids movie, so the silly jokes make sense so a little kid can laugh at it. I was a kid when this movie came out, so I was exactly the audience it was made for. A lot of the people criticizing it now were already adults at the time, so of course it does not land the same way for them. Like imagine if a 7 year old kid were to rate it, they would not be saying it is cringey, they would be laughing at the simple jokes as what this movie was made to do. This is a great movie :) Also… this movie made me want an Australian Shepherd like Mazie… and now I have two of them, so clearly it did something right ;)
