A cartoon that appreciates dogs as dogs, and treats one dog's life with the gravity and compassion we'd want expressed at a memorial service for a human of no importance who meant everything.

A dying dog looks back on her life and several owners. A poignant and lovingly told tale of joy, sadness, and sacrifice. The film sports various styles of art and animation. I loved that the CGI is virtually unnoticeable, as it should be. The nominees for Best Animated Feature Film that year were Toy Story 4, Klaus, Missing Link, (those three I haven't viewed yet), I lost my body, and How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World (Those two I have viewed). I'd certainly say it's better than Missing Link and the equal of Hidden World. If someone asks me if this is a good film, I'll wag my tail enthusiastically.
