Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Some good scenes but nothing like what it was really like in those times. And why oh why has Netflix allowed itself to be hijacked by LGBT ideology, which to is so off-putting. We stopped half way through and switched something more rewarding. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Explores the bear minimum of Mary's Life. Missing A lot. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Neither the plot or the lead actress was able to portray any depth or insight into this monarch's psyche. Instead, she came off like a spoiled brat who would have preferred the "let them eat cake" court of Versailles. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Although there have been numerous film interpretations of Mary Queen of Scots' life, this was the first one I'd seen myself. The movie really brought to life what a dreadful politician she was, making one mistake after another. I especially appreciated the film's unique style. The music was reminiscent of "Psycho," and several scenes with a tilted camera speeding across the Scottish countryside added to the horror movie atmosphere. I also liked the Greek chorus commentary of a deceased character. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Adam Cook Cinema Scope The film fails to come together as anything beyond rudimentary, and that failure is distinctly directorial. Oct 17, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews
