There are more twists and turns in this movie than a mountain highway and it really keeps you interested. While some moments in the film drag a bit longer than they should, they more than make up for it in story and visual effects. Go to Full Review

Gabriel S @Sanarel 2d The 3rd Eye follows the basics of Asian horror, good folk horror elements, jumpscares. It plays itself safe as a time-passer. The plot follows Alia who decides to go back to her old parent's house following their sudden deaths to take care of her sister Abel. Alia fails to believe Abel, who claims the house is haunted, and to prove her wrong, she decides to allow Shaman King Mrs. Windu to open her Third Eye, which later proves to have serious consequences. This is standard Monster in the House arc. The plot points are easy to follow without intricate plotlines nor B-plot presence — to be fair, there is kinda of a B-plot that is used for a revelation/convenience in the end. Now, in true Asian horror fashion, the cinematography is what you expect: spooky ghosts, eerie scenario, and jumpscares. Overall, the film is entertaining for what it is, but really just average. You won't see this film making any list of Best Horror Films, neither if filtering for Asian only. See more 10/22/2018 The movie tried to be a good horror film but sadly fell short with the authenticity of the story and the twists. Kudos on the prosthetics though. See more 10/08/2018 This one was odd to me. The budget seemed to be there, but about 70% the time the CGI looked so bad. The other 30% looked nice and unique. Also, some of the scares they tried to pull off (which did successfully creep me out a couple of times) made ghost functionality and characteristics pretty inconsistent with the story. The worst part was when it looked like they were just walking through a lame haunted house with people in make-up jumping out at them. It was just kind of a mess... See more Read all reviews
