steve d No fun and definitely no humor. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member A great little movie! Light-hearted and easy to watch for just relaxing. Of course, the ever great actresses Glenn Close and the talented Ruth Gordon. I have been trying to locate a copy on DVD, but the price is exorbitant and now it is out of stock. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member It's not ground breaking, but I loved it. I've seen it many times (which is rare for me) and loved it every time. It's simply fun. And Glen Close is wonderful in it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member A directionless and flaccid affair -- an uncharacteristic misfire for the usually dependable Glen CLose. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member I love this film but I can't seem to find it anywhere to buy - If anyone spots it let me know Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member i love this movie. if you have never seen it please try too Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Nigel Andrews Financial Times A dire little comedy. May 13, 2020 Full Review Paul Attanasio Washington Post It is, in short, the kind of movie where the director is always cutting to reaction shots of a basset hound: 'nuff said. Jan 3, 2018 Full Review Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times Maxie does as little with its original inspiration as is humanly possible. Rated: 0.5/4 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Michael Lasky Bay Area Reporter The problem is the excessively cute script which is riddled with [too] many coy posings and silly set ups.
