Audience Member Loved it. That girl is bad! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a nice escape from the surveillance state. No social media in this baby. The message, delivered in registers of self-aware arrogance, is a solid one. Sad, if you're my age. Good sad, though. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member First of all, the look of the thing. A woman's world depicted so sensually, like everything is a delicate spiderweb. Next, the plot and dialogue, the whole idea. Okay, I can see why this aspect is polarizing. But give it a chance. I'm worried most of the humor is so understated that people can think this film is snobby, but watch carefully. Everything has a funny, clever reverse side to it. The beginning is funny in a more standard way, but the rest of the film, the humor is very understated. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Between a 6/10 and 7/10, as good as this film can be its sum is not as good or interesting as its individual parts even if Lena Olin's performance is. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is a mind-numbing train-wreck that you can't look away from because you think it can't possibly get any worse....but it does. With slight glimpses of clarity, this movie is a sterile view of the world and a vain reflection on the writers' view on morality, humanity and mortality. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review mike w I will give two stars for the acting, direction, etc., but the character herself is such a vapid, immature, self-absorbed pseudo-intellectual twit I found it impossible to watch, quit after 30 minutes. A repulsive, unlikelable character without a shred of humility or common sense. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Sheri Linden Los Angeles Times A movie that's by turns off-putting, bracingly incisive and insufferable. Nov 2, 2017 Full Review Sheila O'Malley RogerEbert.com The film has much to recommend it, in particular its lack of sentimentality about suicide, art, womanhood. Rated: 3/4 Oct 27, 2017 Full Review Teo Bugbee New York Times The red-blooded vivacity of Ms. Olin's performance ... pierces through the muck. She chews feeble lines like meat, spitting out the masticated remains. Oct 26, 2017 Full Review Kip Mooney College Movie Review Lena Olin is captivating as Maya. Rated: B- Aug 24, 2021 Full Review Jim Ross TAKE ONE Magazine Originally titled A CRITICALLY ENDANGERED SPECIES, as if to imply the threat to genuine creatives, the threat to this film is very much an internal one. Feb 13, 2020 Full Review Deborah Krieger Bust Magazine Perhaps it's not the most exciting or invigorating film, but as a thesis statement, it's certainly worthwhile.
