Stefan Ö @stefan.e.oberg Feb 28 The most immediate take-away from this movie might be that the omniscience displayed by the characters is of no use when facing chaos in which no rules of neither nature nor logic applies. In an incomprehensible stream of dialogue and events it might even be beneficial to lack short-term memory and behave erratically, or to be a useless know-it-all. However, in my opinion, Megalodon: the frenzy—in an indirect and convoluted manner—carries another, more profound, message: Regardless of the circumstances, it comes down to what you can control, what you do and how you behave. It might not matter at all for your survival but it will matter for how you feel just before you get devoured by a giant shark. What makes Megalodon: the frenzy stand out is that this core message is actually communicated on a meta level by all the actors in the movie: in the face of uncontrollable chaos, we can only keep going and continue to try to behave as if we are human. Honestly it has room and I mean SO MUCH ROOM for improvement, but I do have to admit this movie was so easy to laugh at if you have friends watching with you. It was hard to remember what happened when all I saw was the same frames being used over and over again, if anything this should've been a short mini movie (for example 25-30 mins summerizing what happens). Apart from the same frames and angles being over used I also noticed that some of the lines were being repeated and that some of the logic was scientifically incorrect nor was common sense really being used (for example when the shark took a bite out if the people would part of the ship not break after the bite/ impact? Or how the cast is very limited because working in a place like that would you not have a handful of people working with you?). On the other hand the acting wasnt as bad but I feel like they were acting too much or not acting when they should. If anything i feel like the shark was the best actor in whole film.
