Daniel K Definitely should have told us to take psychedelics before the show as there was only a few songs with a video of Metallica, the rest was just visual patterns. The music was great! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/14/23 Full Review Jo & Co This review is about the MOVIE -NOT the music. The music is excellent but the movie is quite frankly pretty awful. Jo and I have given an extra star because we liked the soundtrack and although not really into Heavy Metal we like Metallica. Apart from listening to the talking heads of the musicians you might just as well sat down in the comfort of your favourite armchair and just listened to the music. At home you could have even got up and danced (gyrated frantically if you could - I'm 9 years younger than Jo and I will be 80 this year!)! What we got over the songs was mostly meaningless weird graphics of moving squares, flickering lights - that gave me a headache) and occasionally) some dark, distorted moving silhouettes of members of the band actually playing. Jo and I wanted to see the band actually performing. It needn't have been the band actually playing the track we were listening to. When the movie started there was about sixty of us in the auditorium. When it finished it was down to 30. There was a group of die hard fans who whooped and cheered at some of the numbers. Surprisingly no one clapped to cheered the title opening track. Jo added her voice to the muted clapping at the end - with "Thank God it's finished!." That got some claps and whoops of delight, too.
