Audience Member copada pelicula,bastante entretenida Rated 3/5 Stars •  Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I saw this movie at the Chicago Latin Film Festival and absolutely loved it! A comedy from Argentina that captures the stereotypes in weddings and does it rather well. The story starts with our two main characters, Adrian Meire (Daniel Hendler) and Leonora Campos (Natalia Oreiro) on their wedding day and everything that could go wrong does. Adrian, a non practicing Jew, is going to marry Leonora, a holiday catholic, and they want to have a duel ceremony but both religions do not allow this type of marriage. So we're already off to a bad start. Adrian is a laid back character with some sarcasm mixed in. His soon to be wife is very meticulous and can be dramatic. The cast of characters are all great and complete the movie. My favorite character was Adrian's cousin Fede who is his partner in crime after Adrian loses one of his wedding rings. As they both desperately try to find the ring they don't realize that they're also ruining the wedding. Along with the missing ring, Adrian also has to worry about Leonora's ex lover who is trying to sabotage the wedding. If there's one thing I love about the Chicago Latino Film Festival is the wide verity of films to choose from and I'm glad I picked "Mi Primera Boda". The movie was a lot like "Death at a Funeral" (NOT THE REMAKE!!). A great smart comedy that spares you the toilet humor for cheap laughs. I'm not sure how many married couples can say that they had a perfect wedding but and imperfect wedding makes for great stories and apparently a great movie.
