Mina Tannenbaum (Romane Bohringer) and Ethel Benegui (Elsa Zylberstein) are two Jewish women living in Paris who've been friends since grade school. Despite their years of friendship, the two have very little in common either in social background or personality, having forged their bond through being mutual misfits due to their religion. However, as both have followed their own life paths, Mina and Ethel find their differences greater than they can handle and struggle to remain friends.

Sheila Johnston Independent (UK) A bright, unpredictable piece, with dollops of fantasy and fast changes of mood, although it adds up to less than the sum of its parts. Dec 19, 2024 Full Review Derek Malcolm Guardian One of the few films from either side of the Atlantic which speaks eloquently about friendship between women. Dec 19, 2024 Full Review Hugo Davenport Daily Telegraph (UK) The early sequences are deliciously fresh and funny... Dugowson's ideas are wonderfully inventive. Audience Member Of all the international films I've seen because I've been up late watching SBS, this is the one that had the biggest impact. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member This is the first French film I ever saw. I watched it while I was going to school in France. The funny thing is I don't remember a think about it other than the title. But I must've enjoyed it because ever since then I have enjoyed watching French films. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member wonderful movie, this movie was really inspired me and touched me. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
