Darren D @DarrenJD Mar 16 "#Missingcouple" is an admirable attempt in the ever-growing found footage market, and I have some appreciation for this little horror mystery, despite my view of the 3rd act. Narratively it takes the time to allow the personalities of the characters to break free & feel natural as the performances from the couple felt genuine in front of the camera when we're the audience to their social media lifestyle of renovation & their privacy behind the camera which we aren't privileged to, then it smoothly transitions from the couple lives on social media into the internet community of websleuths. After all of the good intentions that went into setting up the previous acts, the 3rd act fell into a bizarre area of feeling ham-fisted with no subtlety & moving away from its direction wanting to do too much without the execution. Just an unsatisfying payoff. See more Read all reviews
