it explores modern kids who are interested in old rock music,(which I am) and does a pretty good job telling there stories. If you watch it, you might love it, you might hate it

"Mix Tape" is a feel-good story set in 1999, when 12-year-old Beverly (Gemma Brooke Allen) who lives with her grandmother Gail (Julie Bowen) after her parents died in a car crash, one day finds a mixtape from her parents and begins a journey to discover more about them. Her journey of discovery is quite joyful and there is a lovely nostalgia to her relationship with her best friends and the era in which it is set, millennium bug fear and all.
