Marketed as a “hate letter to cinema”, Mollywood Times would have worked better as an exposé of the dark underbelly of the film industry if not for the stretched phases that make it a bloated work. Go to Full Review

arvind S @Arvind100 13h Nothing shows more passion for movies than a movie about movies. Mollywood Times is a brutally honest look at the inner workings of the film industry. Our lead, Vineeth Madhavan is an aspiring filmmaker, who wishes to make the scariest film ever. But the obstacles he has to go through to make this film is plenty. I watched a recent interview of Abhinav Nayak and have reason to believe that Mollywood Times is partially based on his own experiences as a filmmaker. Naslen is stellar as Vineeth. Stepping out from his boy-next-door tag, he delivers one of his finest performances yet. But like I said, Mollywood Times is not everyone's cup of tea. It is a very detailed look at the psyche of a man who believes in making it to the top without any compromise. There are no shortcuts to success, but in the film industry luck also plays a factor. And that is something that the makers keep going back to in this film. See more Nandhu R @Kingmaker___6 17h The first half works well, especially the opening thirty minutes. The movie offers an engaging and unique look into the power politics of the film industry, and the cameos add to its entertainment value. However, the second half struggles to live up to the expectations built by the promising start. The narrative loses momentum, and the film fails to deliver on the potential established earlier. The movie deserved a better climax. Overall, it's a watchable flick... See more Stephen C @bob25009 2d Funny in 2.5 hours. Original and loving it. See more Read all reviews
