Kristy Puchko Pajiba This gritty indie is a diamond in the rough, and horror fans should seek it out. Mar 27, 2020 Full Review Emilie Black Cinema Crazed M.O.M. Mothers of Monsters is a good found footage film in that it's shot in a manner that doesn't distract from the story while remaining a found footage film Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 4, 2020 Full Review Matt Donato Flickering Myth Performances are on-point, I'm just not positive M.O.M's message prevails given the third act's divisive direction (which did not work for this critic). Rated: 2/5 Mar 21, 2020 Full Review Graeme Robertson Flickering Myth Despite its flaws, I'd still give M.O.M. a cautious recommendation for those who are at least curious to see a fresh take on the well worn found footage genre. Mar 18, 2020 Full Review Jay Krieger Cultured Vultures Subverting the pitfalls of found footage through smart storytelling and stellar lead performances makes M.O.M. a genre standout. Jeremy A Very good. Best found footage film I have ever seen. And I don't usually care for them. The ending is amazing. 4.5* Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/10/24 Full Review Grace R Honestly it was a very good movie, but the whole storyline of the mom being the baby with the knife or whatever was unnecessary. It made it too convoluted, and in my opinion was kind of stupid, especially because they didn't elaborate on it at all. Like the mom was just a normal person? The whole time? Who reacted normally to the situation? Idk it was a weird storyline that wasn't necessary. Besides that, it was a very interesting movie that I enjoyed. Kept me entertained, since I was sick and dying on the couch haha. 4.5 out of 5. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/28/24 Full Review Sarina S Wow. All I can say is wow. Horrifying. The mental breakdown of mother and son. Let's just say I'm childless for a reason. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/23/24 Full Review ZBS I don't know about this movie ....you will hate the mom for not having any balls ( especially towards the end) worse than you'll hate the kid. My mom would have kicked my a** all over the house! She would have kicked doors in. I wanted to like this movie but the acting is so atrocious and has an overall staged feeling. The movie also hits on every single sociopath / shooter teen stereotype...like a manual ( despondent, troublesome, hurts animals, violent drawings, outbursts of violence, withdrawn, prescription drugs, therapy, obsession with guns and death..even a lizard named Adolf...on and on). It does have an interesting twist at the end which is why I didn't give it fewer stars. It's the acting and the pedestrian storyline that did this movie in for me. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/28/23 Full Review Chelsea T poignant to note that mental illness is familial and beyond the affected person... however i find this story to be very unlikely- mom seems too against her own son to be a believable situation. acting is so so, sons character felt forced Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/03/23 Full Review Rece S Apart from the acting the movie is rather stale Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews
