Entirely messy and self aware, this film is a work of art that still stands up to its reputation today. Its witty parallels and nonsensical plotlines continue to resonate with audiences, and it's various visual techniques keep the viewer stimulated. A lot of work went into the final product, and it shows, yet it also manages to portray a certain degree of effortlessness. Monty Python has cemented itself into the history of absurdist comedy films.
