Audience Member I think this is a very good movie, simple and mellow in style, but it's all about the plot and the tension created within it. Perhaps it's too obvious how it will turn out between the main characters, but still there's no transparant conclusion to the ending. It's surprising that this film isn't based upon a novelle, however the building of the plot appears as if it was, and it's all smoothly melted together with very fine acting performanced from a cast that isn't all too regular. Why make it complicated when the easy way works just great? Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I like this movie because it represents a slice of life in time and place. The story was simple but sweet and I think very realistic. Kelly McGillis from Top Gun fame played a quiet but strong spinster living away from people in the South. How she was dressed reminded me of women I have seen who are far from town and needing to do so many chores. It is no surprise she has a brief love affair with sensual Billy Zane who played a smart and sensitive convict wishing to belong somewhere and belong to someone. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Surprisingly interesting film Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member While I'm a fan of Kelly McGills, the character which she plays is a little strange. I was a surprised how much I actually found this movie enjoyable. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member i thought this was going to be boring the whole way through but it was actually alot better than i thought.
