This documentary focuses on China's Cultural Revolution, the communist movement led by Mao Zedong that radically altered the country during 1960s and '70s. The film details the tremendous social and political upheaval that accompanied the transition, and includes interviews with people involved in or affected by the revolution, such as Rui Li, a secretary under Mao who was exiled during the era, and his daughter, Nanyang Li, who helped to orchestrate his return.
