David Rooney The Hollywood Reporter Mother’s Baby is juicy, disturbing and slashed with dark humor. It had me gripped for the duration, even at its loopiest. Feb 22, 2025 Full Review Jonathan Romney Screen International Very much rooted in real-world issues that many viewers will surely recognise, the film feels meticulously calibrated in its emotional complexity and centres on a riveting performance from Marie Leuenberger, affecting and deeply upsetting in turns. Feb 19, 2025 Full Review Nicholas Bell IONCINEMA.com Hasn’t this been done to death? A suitably paranoia primed lead performance from Marie Leuenberger can’t get around the script’s familiar beats, which also feed us details making everything seem too obvious for any real tension to build. Rated: 2/5 Feb 19, 2025 Full Review Stephanie Bunbury Deadline Hollywood Daily The most viscerally ghastly evocation of new parenthood we’ve seen since Eraserhead.
