Barbara Shulgasser Common Sense Media At the same time, the movie wallows in scenes of talky explication but it leaves so many unexplained questions. May 31, 2023 Full Review John Serba Decider The film never really comes together as a satisfying whole, and emotionally, it’s a non-starter; it’s too formulaic, and it doesn’t put its tongue deep enough into its cheek. May 26, 2023 Full Review M.N. Miller Ready Steady Cut Mother’s Day is worth watching for the spectacular action-turn by Agnieszka Grochowska, who carries the film above its flaws for most of the picture. Rated: 3/5 May 25, 2023 Full Review Charles Hartford But Why Tho? A Geek Community If you love movies where you feel the punches and the bones break, this one is definitely worth checking out. May 25, 2023 Full Review Jonathon Wilson Ready Steady Cut Mother’s Day is worth watching for the spectacular action turn by Agnieszka Grochowska. Her performance is so gutsy that she carries the film above its flaws for most of the picture. Rated: 3/5 May 25, 2023 Full Review Chris Joyce Movies and Munchies (YouTube) While Mother’s Day is way better in terms of action than that other Mother-themed movie on Netflix, the story suffers from a lack of connection with the players due to skimpy character development. luca d It is nothing more than a discreet female action-movie. The plot is the same as that of other action with the exception of a female protagonist. For the rest there is nothing exceptional to add Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 09/05/23 Full Review Herry S Well I dont understand the story was about, Im sorry the story was bad I wouldnt watch this again Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/16/23 Full Review tvanness1 It's your typical female assassin, revenge action flick. (great that is a norm now) Not horrible actually but no Peppermint or Columbiana. Female lead is actually really good imho. If you like the genre, it is entertaining. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/22/23 Full Review Jason W While there are some pretty interesting fights, the plot is pretty lost, the characters are lost, the dialog is lost... just lost. For an expert fighter, the main character sure takes a lot of wounds, hits, falls and just overall clumsy takes. It detracts from the actual fight scenes. As for the plot progression, it can best be described as all bad decisions followed by one halfway decent decision to fix everything. This is a tired and lazy way of plot development. Overall, it was forgettable and it was okay as background noise... otherwise don't pay too much attention. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/27/23 Full Review Toko J bad movie, unclear storyline and bad acting Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/26/23 Full Review Matthew T First looks cheap and silly, after some time it makes own, unique grotesque, pastiche, action mix. Somehow it gets interesting, second half much better, more structured, weird experience but surprisingly, in the end, a good experience… Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
