Daniel Q Lift about this wow get it sound Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/19/23 Full Review Jacob B This short that played before The Secret Life of Pets is, in all honesty, a bit boring. I saw most of the gags coming and it isn't as amusing or felt like it had a heart as much as earlier Despicable Me shorts. The fact that this waa the first piece of Despicable Me media that came out after their billion-dollar-grossing spin-off film caused a major backlash against the Minions didn't help. But the animation's nice and children + Minion fans are likely to be amused by their antics. But all Mower Minions did for me was call attention to just how The Secret Life of Pets really wanted to be regarded in the same way as a Pixar film and, while by no means a disaster, was no masterpiece either.
