After her mother passes away, Jenny feels sad, angry, and alone in the middle of Los Angeles. To help her heal, Jenny's father decides that a visit with her grandmother in Thailand may be a step toward healing. But the local farming village that she moves to couldn't be more opposite from the life she knows in America. Fitting in here is not going be easy. What follows is a story of adventure and transformation as she builds a friendship with an outcast boy who faces huge challenges of his own. Together, they team up to face a group of bullies while he shares with her his love of animals and glimpses into the magic of nature.
