Tabitha B This movie is stupid, but it's stupid fun Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/11/23 Full Review Audience Member "He died for me. He came back from the dead for me. He ate someone for me. Everything that happened to him happened because he loved me." He is risen! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review brad m Maybe more love for this movie if it had released in the 80's. I am not going to claim it's a great movie but it's original and good fun. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A lot more broad and goofy than I remember it being. There were a few chuckles to be had, but it just doesn't play as good as back in the day, or perhaps it's just made for a younger audience... Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/20 Full Review Audience Member I gave this movie 2 stars a classic 90's nostalgia throwback this used to be on t.v. back in the day. I liked this movie back then I have not seen it in a while from what I remember it was good. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Saw this one as it lay on my hard drive and there isn't much to recommend. As a matter of fact I don't remember much of this movie except that the lead actress is gorgeous and it has some notable faces that became future stars. The story is basic: A teen dies and comes back as a zombie expect not the menacing killing kind, but the lovelorn, afraid one. There's not much that I recollect and the film was barely noticed all these years. It however stars Mathew Mcchounghey, Renee Zellwegger, Mathew Fox and Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Mark Caro Chicago Tribune The movie is full of nonsensical plot twists, embarrassingly broad performances and unappealing characters. Rated: 1/4 Jul 15, 2014 Full Review Kevin Thomas Los Angeles Times An awful teen horror comedy. Jul 15, 2014 Full Review Jeff Shannon Seattle Times Simply put, absolutely none of it works. The movie utterly fails to set a foundation for its dark fantasy, effectively turning every character into a moron. Rated: 1/4 Jul 15, 2014 Full Review Chris Knight Calgary Herald Unfortunately, the asides are about as sharp as Jell-O, and the dead-pan acting is just plain annoying after a while. Rated: 1.5/4 Aug 12, 2022 Full Review Malcolm Johnson Hartford Courant To put it in teenspeak, "My Boyfriend's Back," a saga of a decaying zombie lad, rots. Apr 10, 2018 Full Review Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed A sweet, and oddly touching tale of undead love. Oct 13, 2014 Full Review Read all reviews
