Nancy Banks-Smith Guardian This should, if anything, have been a serious documentary about unclassifiable mental illness. Feb 27, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member The movie is well-acted. I'm not really clear why anyone would want to watch it. Viewing it is a masochistic and fairly pointless experience. An adult "child" holds her parents hostage to her emotional outbursts, tyranny and insane spending and her mother in particular is an enabler in the name of "unconditional love." Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member next to "Night, Mother" this is probably the most depressing film I've ever seen. Outstanding performances by both Brenda Blethyn and Timothy Spall... but Rebekah Staton is the one to watch for. This is what the girl from Fat Girl would turn out like, I'm sure of it.
