Audience Member Mystery lovers, rejoice! Hallmark Entertainment's "Mystery Woman: Snapshot" is a wonderfully made whodunit with great characters and an engrossing plot! Samantha (Kellie Martin, "Christy") is a book store owner with the smarts of Velma Dinkley, the fearlessness of Wonder Woman, and the deduction skills of Columbo. When her friend Barbara is completely confuzzled as to why she was left out of her brother's will, Samantha knows the game is afoot. In the style of old-school mystery fiction, a la "Murder, She Wrote" or Agatha Christie's works, Samantha and her friends Philby (Clarence Williams III, "The Mod Squad") and Cassie (Nina Siemaszko, "The Haunting of Molly Hartley"), they stop at nothing to find the perpetrator and solve the case. Better yet, the content is quite clean; although there is some violence, it isn't bloody or graphic, and there's no profanity, sex, or nudity (Samantha's occasional slightly low-cut outfits notwithstanding). As good as this is, I can only recommend a rental. Once you know who is at fault, there's no point in watching it again unless you've forgotten the entire movie. Still, those who love mysteries can't go wrong with this one. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Along the same lines as CSI etc. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review don s Been a Kellie Martin fan since her ER days. This movie, the only one from the series I've seen, was fundamentally sound - a modest, if uninvolving, mystery; actors whom I usually enjoy (in addition to Martin, there is Wuhrer and Williams); and suitable for family viewing. I wanted to like it much more than I did. The acting was on the poor side. The story seemed plausible but the dialogue was stultifying causing my interest to wane. Merely mediocre. Not enough here to entice me to seek out the rest of the series. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I like these mystery woman TV movies they are brilliant..
