Ignacio (Jack Black), or Nacho to his friends, works as a cook in the Mexican monastery where he grew up. The monastery is home to a host of orphans whom Nacho cares for deeply, but there is not much money to feed them properly. Nacho decides to raise money for the children by moonlighting as a Lucha Libre wrestler with his partner Esqueleto (Héctor Jiménez), but since the church forbids Lucha, Nacho must disguise his identity.

Critics Consensus

At times hilarious, but other times offensive, Director Jared Hess is unable to recapture the collective charisma of his Napoleon characters, instead relying on a one-joke concept that runs out of steam. Sure to entertain the adolescents, however.

Absolutely love this movie, cracks me up every time! I love the interactions between the characters, that heart warming and charming awkwardness, the exaggerated movements and music. I love it all!

My 2nf least favorite movie! I could ignore the obviously poor quality of this movie if it were actually funny. It's not, I only laughed like twice. Honestly just a two hour cring fest, don't expect it to be good.

Synopsis
