Moved by lonely letters written to her brother by cocoa plantation owner Christopher Leiningen (Charlton Heston), New Orleans widow Joanna (Eleanor Parker) agrees to marry Christopher by proxy. Upon arriving at his South American plantation, Joanna clashes with the moody Christopher over his dismay about her previous marriage and the harshness of jungle life. The relationship appears doomed -- until a horde of attacking black ants forces the Leiningens to pull together.

Part romance, part adventure -Naked Jungle is almost two movies in one, equally. Odd tale of a woman who marries a man she had never met; an arrogant plantation owner, plenty of non-English speaking natives - and ants. Lots and lots of ants.

One of those great old flicks, the like of which they just don't make anymore with a great plot from that story we all had to read in high school English class, but with a serious romance thing added. Fun flick.

'If you knew more about music, than women, you'd know, a piano is better when its been played'... Domestic strife and soldier ants--Marabunta! - when ants come, the monkeys run... Eleanor Parker could elevate anything.. Look Out! Love and Adventure are Afoot!!
