Photographer Spencer Tunick sets out to visit each of America's 50 states with one goal in mind: to shoot photos of large groups of naked people in public areas. On his travels, from New York City to the Mojave Desert, he finds unpaid volunteers willing to bare it all in front of his camera. Scott Foundas Variety It is [the] failure to assess, even in jest, how these disparate impulses affect Tunick's work and where (or whether) they converge that is the great missed opportunity of Naked States. Audience Member spencer's not a perv but he's not an artist either... IMO. the message he's trying to send is blurry. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member spencer's not a perv but he's not an artist either... IMO. the message he's trying to send is blurry. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Spencer Tunick is a douche - you know that almost immediately, so it's too bad that he's the main focus of this documentary when it's the people he's photographing are the interesting ones. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting documentary follows photographer Spencer Tunick on his quest to photograph nudes in all fifty states. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member I thought this was a good documentary a bit slow, but thought provoking. i liked the different interviews with people and why they participated. the photos came out nice in black and white. how absurd that the site of human bodies is illegal yet it is legal for governments to participate in the business of war. Animal cruelty is legal in business too. we are supposed to be ashamed of our bodies and think that god did not equip human beings with the mental capacity of handling the site of the bodies he gave us? thought provoking film yes, it raises questions good questions. the music could have been a little better in parts. worth seeing especially of u have issues with nudity. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Yes i would, I think Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews
