There is a softness to the creepy images. It’s as if they caress you before incising into more disturbing terrain and carving a place into your memory along the way.

While the films succeeds in creating a sense of atmospheric dread, it ultimately falls short in providing clear motivations for the actions of some of the characters. I found the obtuse nature of the storytelling to be frustrating, yet still interesting.
