It’s not just that the jokes fail. It’s that Reynolds’s hollow script doesn’t seem to know what it wants to say with them. Go to Full Review

While I found 'Never Change!' to be a baffling mess, I wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes the ‘Wet Hot American Summer' of the Gen Alpha crowd years from now. Go to Full Review

The straight-to-Hulu absurdist movie never stops throwing, er, stuff against the wall in the hopes enough of it sticks comedically. Enough of it does. Go to Full Review

TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch 1d Never Change is a comedy that never found its footing for me. The premise of adults returning to school before the students arrive had the potential to be funny, but the execution falls flat almost immediately. Instead of delivering clever comedy or memorable characters, the film leans too heavily into over-the-top spoof humor that quickly becomes repetitive and forced. The screenplay misses several opportunities to do something creative, relying instead on exaggerated antics that rarely earn a laugh. The performances feel uneven, with many of the characters coming across as more annoying than entertaining, making it difficult to connect with anyone on screen. The pacing also struggles, and the story never builds into anything worthwhile. I kept waiting for the movie to surprise me or find its rhythm, but it never happened. Overall, Never Change is a forgettable comedy with weak writing, forced humor, and too many missed opportunities. See more Paul L @pauly87 Jul 13 I would of watched it soon if I would have known it was a movie that doesn't take it so serious , truly funny. See more Wesker M @Wesker Jul 12 Critics are wrong on this. Best (pure) comedy of '26. It's a like Naked Gun meets Not Another Teen Movie. Not as outrageous as those, but it's fun, goofy, slapstick humor. Think David Wain (Wet Hot) but much better than his recent work (Gail Daughtery was horrible). Solid cast (Tofer, Gastaier, etc.). Most importantly, sharp writing and good jokes. You will laugh. See more ARNEZ C @Arny6tearz Jul 10 I gotta say thanks to the naked gun these types of movies are back & this was really fun & crazy See more Dave C @StayingAwake Jul 5 Stayed awake the whole time but I wish I hadn’t See more Muhammad C @MuhammadAli7 Jul 2 It was surprisingly very funny. It had some strange humor but it was still funny. Some parts were hilarious. It was good movie overall. I would definitely recommend it for some good laughs. See more Read all reviews
