Audience Member As the title would lead you to expect, this is be a racy pre-code comedy/drama with couples clearly sleeping together out of wedlock, not so discretely filmed nude models, and plenty of innuendo. Robert Young plays a young artist wanting to move to Paris to see if he can make it as a painter. While there he meets Myrna Loy (who is the main reason I wanted to watch this film). There's another storyline involving Young's sister back home falling in love with a married man. The pre-code elements are fun (there's one scene with a nude male model when one character comments, "I had no idea being a painter was so close in spirit to being a graphic designer in the sausage industry."), but the comedy and dramatic elements fall pretty flat. Watch this film only if you're interested in a before-she-was-famous role for Loy or are a fan of pre-code pictures. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
