Audience Member An indie gem from 20 years ago that has been pretty much forgotten. This energetic character-driven romp also serves as a coming-of-age tale with some surprising character depth amidst it's drab settings and comedic tone. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member This totally hits all the notes it wants to. The comedy is great combination of physicality and small town social commentary. The characters are great and well-performed. And, I think I may gotten the DP his gig on this without him ever knowing! I worked with Derek Rogers on a couple of shorts. Then I was asked by a film friend if I knew any DPs as he knew a producer on New Waterford Girl and they were looking for one. A year and half later I see the poster and there's Derek's name on it. How about that. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member I kind of loved this movie.... Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member i give this 0/5. What was that? What a bad movie. good ending but the whole thing was weird and a poor story. the cover says its a comedy but definitely not. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Different, and enjoyable in a way. I liked it because I am from Cape breton. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member It's impossible to enjoy every movie about an outsider's life in the province. This one is one of the worst on the topic - with unconvincing acting and a phony plot. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Read all reviews
