Anne Cohen Refinery29 A moving, riveting movie that highlights the power of sisterhood, both on and off screen. Aug 8, 2018 Full Review Roxana Hadadi Pajiba Night Comes On focuses on the challenge of trying to make sense of a situation that makes no sense at all, and its suggestion of revenge is one method, and its suggestion of love is another. Aug 7, 2018 Full Review Noel Murray Los Angeles Times The quest-plot puts a solid frame around what's essentially a sensitive study of a shattered family, poorly served by the social institutions meant to keep them safe. Aug 3, 2018 Full Review M.N. Miller Ready Steady Cut Jordana Spiro and first-time screenwriter Angelica Nwandu create a quietly effective drama with a fierce performance from Dominique Fishback. Essentially a revenge Western, her quiet intensity at the end of the film is stunning. jacquesleslie Powerful and compassionate, with the feel of authenticity and insight into all its characters. Stunning, superb acting, too. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/02/23 Full Review isla s This is a gritty film. Its not an action film but it does reasonably well at portraying siblings trying to get some form of justice for what has happened to them. It features some good camerawork and isn't overly full of dialogue but I think that helps it to seem a bit more substantial than, perhaps, other similar films. Its not quite what I expected and it isn't a film likely to stay in my mind for very long but that aside, its not a bad film...an ok one. I wouldn't especially recommend going out of your way to see it but if its on TV and interests you then it may be worth a watch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review tom m Entertaining enough, but just okay. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Incredible Experience. Beyond a movie. Are these actors? This plays like a memory of genuine humans. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member This was a very well acted movie that felt like a short story the whole way through it’s not a long movie either but just not well flushed out to even be as long as it was, I do hope people see it though for the performances of the 2 lead actors. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 09/03/20 Full Review Audience Member From the music to the sublime acting, this was such a beautiful film. At no point did it feel like I was watching a movie. This was as close to life as it gets. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews
