Daniel W This is a suspense filled movie with intrigue. Sharif plays an almost incredible role as a modern day Holmes, while O'toole is the General in the Hitler regime. The plot is full of surprises, twists and turns. Well acted, well directed, beautiful scenes, definitely a well made movie with legendary actors. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/02/24 Full Review Steve D Interesting but fairly wooden. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Una grandísima película que igual solo aleja a los más nuevos por , quizás, la excesiva caracterización de O'Toole como general nazi desquiciado Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member This is no where near O'Toole's best film. It might be one of his worst. It's a slow paced film, drawn out. It is at least coherent in its narrative. Just boring. The villain is not interesting. Not even the great Peter O'Toole could save this film. Other big names like Donald Pleasance also had not much to do in this film other to to provide some space between the villain and the investigators. The ending is so unsatisfying. I found myself asking: 'why?' Why let the guy kill himself after you've just spent the last number of years trying to track him down? He doesnt deserve to get out of it that easy! The music is forgettable and this film is in no way notable. All in all, dont bother. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Great performances all around. Peter O'Toole, Omar Sharif and Phillipe Noiret. Well worth watching! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review tony z It is worth it just for the performances of Pleasance, sharif, and especially o'toole. Nice ending, too. Yasser Medina Cinefilia A dull and rather mediocre film from Litvak that hurriedly assembles all the pieces of its police thriller about murders, conspiracies and deranged Nazis.
