marco b Grad Students explore their dreams to see if they can die. The whole time you wish they would. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member They tried, kind of. Overall a near total failure with some cool special effects being the only redeeming factor. It feels very unfinished. Maybe the budget ran dry, which is a real shame because there were some neat ideas, a bit of good acting and some cool visuals. I feel like it wanted to be a great movie, but something went wrong resulting in a messy, only mildly entertaining final cut. Sad, but at least they tried, I guess. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member It's the Montezuma's Revenge of 80s horror/sci-fi flicks. I don't want to give out any spoilers in case anyone wants to watch this massive, steaming heap of cinematic droppings for themselves, but this is what would happen if a large ruminant were to chew up a copy of The Wizard of Oz, come down with a bad case of colitis, and spew the half-digested remains of the movie out of its nether regions. What a mess! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Thoroughly bizarre and inept movie about a bunch of grad students researching dreams (and, for no discernible reason, ghosts). They lock themselves in a haunted house, but it turns out the ghost they're looking for is really an alien that lays cockroaches in your head... and there's an Igor-like assistant... and killer dogs... and inbred, radiation victims. Yeah, it's that kind of movie. Elizabeth Kaitan and Clayton Rohner were good in other 80s movies, but they're wasted here. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member This was a seriously piss-poor and convoluted Netfux Instant Watch selection that I was at least sort of enjoying until they pull a giant switcheroo in the last few minutes for no good reason. I wanted a timewaster and I certainly got it. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member I enjoyed the whole concept of this movie and by the end you start to see what it is about. But it is very confusing throughout. At parts it doesn't even make sense. With better writing, this movie could of been great. The cast was pretty bad. Clayton Rohner seemed to be the only one who knew how to act. Robert Tessier's character made no sense. He was suppose to be all messed up and kind of dumb. But he just talked normal and it did not fit his character. Now Brian Thompson was in this film and his character was pretty funny just for the fact that the acting was so bad. It wasn't so much how he acted, but what the writers wanted him to say. The film has some gore and some interesting parts, but with the way the movie was shot, it just didn't work enough to make it good.
