Audience Member A young couple tries to peddle their awful health drink, and problems arise between them. This is closer to the zany Yamashita of Matsugane Potshot Affair than the sweet Yamashita of Linda Linda Linda and Gentle Breeze in the Village. Or maybe somewhere in the middle. The film is never laugh-out-loud funny, but there are amusing moments (and a couple of strange ones). It's interesting to see how these kids interact with each other, even though Daisuke is quite a douchebag. I'd have a hard time thinking of a situation to recommend this movie, but it's not too bad. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member From the director of the superb Linda Linda Linda, this deadpan 'sort of' comedy is a completely different ball game. Yamashita has been compared to Jarmusch and Kaurismaki, understandably, but in the end he is quintessentially Japanese, building a rather new genre, together with guys like Satoshi Miki and Yosuke Fujita.
