It’s not a Hitchcockian masterpiece, but it is a fairly intense, claustrophobic roller-coaster ride. Liu gives a solid performance as Darby, a damaged and insecure pariah who is compelled by circumstances to face overwhelming odds to protect a stranger.

Dreadful filming , can't see a thing,it's so incredibly dark, I can barely see anything. Why make it so dark? Stopped watching and deleted. You need cats eyes to see in the dark!!

I read the book & was so excited to see it had been adapted into a movie, because in the books case, 100% this should be a movie. However, I didn't enjoy the movie. Way too many character changes, acting was subpar bar Ed & Sandi, it just overall fell flat & was disappointing. If I had seen this movie without reading the book, it would also be a movie that fell flat for me. This movie is no where near as unsettling or suspenseful as the book which is unfortunate, because if it was this movie would be absolutely superb!

The movie is good as a stand alone but it doesn't do the book justice. Too many haracter changes and a lot of the books drama and excitement are removed. It's a shame, the book progression of events would have made an excellently intriguing movie.
