No Exit isn't quite a white-knuckle ride, but it may provide just enough mileage for viewers seeking reasonably diverting popcorn thrills.

Miche H I feel like this movie was really good. Def did not know what was going to happen next. Also I felt like acting was good. I genuinely cannot believe this movie doesn't have more stars Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/17/24 Full Review Vladan A Not bad, not great. It's fine for a little movie night or something similar but nothing more than that. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/15/24 Full Review Kelly M I read the book and enjoyed it so when I saw it had been adapted to a movie I was looking forward to watching it. Unfortunately Darby's acting was subpar. The lack of show during the blizzard was a total plot flaw, in the book they're tracking through feet of snow. I did enjoy the Allstate guy. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/24 Full Review Jeff M This is one of the most effective thrillers I have seen in ages, a movie filled with multiple moments of dramatic tension and featuring twists and turns that I think would have made Hitchcock proud - or at least Brian De Palma. And perhaps the most impressive part is that everything seems at least halfway plausible - often times one is required to completely suspend any semblance of reality in order to appreciate the story. Not here. And a good claustrophobic setting always helps to heighten the tension. In other words, Things get rather violent toward the end - there is one scene in particular that had me turning away from the screen with my hand across my mouth - but the violence is more tense than explicit and gory. And Liu is wonderful at portraying a character quite unlikeable at first but who quickly wins the audience over with her grit and determination. It's her quieter moments that creature the integrity of the character behind the rebellious veneer. Of the two big plot twists, one I predicted early and the other came totally out of left field. In the end, this is a beautiful melding of an old-time suspense movie with a 21st century mentality. Despite the middling reviews, I would encourage you to give this a try. You might be as pleasantly surprised as I was. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/22/24 Full Review Ash A Initially an interesting film, nice twist but I think the director lost his balls or marbles with the chaotic, predictable ending. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/29/23 Full Review Satin B A once watch ONLY 🙄⚠️ The second time snore worthy ⚠️😴 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) I love this movie... This is the kind of movie where a nail gun becomes a weapon, and all the right people get nailed. Mar 12, 2022 Full Review Kimber Myers Los Angeles Times As the film winds toward its bloody climax, its unclear what the point of it all was. Feb 25, 2022 Full Review Meagan Navarro Bloody Disgusting No Exit creates a propulsive thriller from a simple story with violence, breathless suspense, and nonstop thrills. Rated: 4/5 Feb 25, 2022 Full Review Lee Zumpe Tampa Bay Newspapers It’s not a Hitchcockian masterpiece, but it is a fairly intense, claustrophobic roller-coaster ride. Liu gives a solid performance as Darby, a damaged and insecure pariah who is compelled by circumstances to face overwhelming odds to protect a stranger. Oct 31, 2023 Full Review Manuel São Bento MSB Reviews Damien Power takes the simple premise of his screenwriters and builds an immersive atmosphere through single-location filmmaking, where the camera work and the score are technical highlights in a visually fascinating work. Rated: A- Jul 25, 2023 Full Review M.N. Miller Film Focus Online Damien Powers squeezes the most out of his resources. No Exit is a surprisingly effective white-knuckle type. A cold and claustrophobic nail-biter that’s more effective than most. Rated: 3/5 Jan 4, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews
