Kim W Every single joke kills. God, I miss him. The best to ever do it. RIP Norm <3 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Worth it just for that mischievous little side-eye of his. And very funny. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member In retrospect, you definitely get the sense that Norm is aware that this very well could be his final act, with the specter of his illness and impending death recoloring his sardonic, macabre musings as barely veiled truths. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review dave d If you don't laugh consistently you don't know how! Miss you Norm! Lucky we have all these clips :) 10/10 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member To be fair I'm a big Norm fan and I realize his stuff isn't everyone's speed, but goddamn! Dark observational comedy at its finest, 100% check it out Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member A special brand of witty, wise absurdity is on display. Jason Zinoman New York Times "Hitler's Dog" starts in the middle of a joke and it ends abruptly. In bookending his show this way, Mr. Macdonald not only toys with the meaning of a joke, but he also drives home the point that the part can be funnier than the whole. Aug 6, 2019 Full Review Jesse Hassenger AV Club Although his material is often bold, Macdonald's style remains decidedly and appealingly old-fashioned. Rated: B+ Aug 6, 2019 Full Review John Doyle Globe and Mail This is a strange, fabulous, very funny stand-up special. An absolute gem. Aug 6, 2019 Full Review Ernesto Diezmartinez Cine Vértigo Macdonald's rhythm can be confusing: he interrupts himself without any justification, until one realizes that everything is perfectly planned so that the joke settles and we keep laughing while we ruminate on the meaning of its impassive punch-lines. Rated: 2/4 Oct 10, 2021 Full Review Ken Tucker Yahoo.com If you don't laugh at Macdonald's material about cellphones and George Washington chopping down the cherry tree - well, I'm sorry, but you're just not a smart person if you don't find his stuff funny. Aug 6, 2019 Full Review Sean L. McCarthy Decider While others zig, Macdonald doesn't zag, but instead chooses to plow straight ahead. His observational comedy can focus so narrowly on the target that it strikes the true bull's eye of the premise. Aug 6, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews
