Derek Malcolm Guardian Passion, though it may count for a lot, isn't everything. There's notation to consider too. And this is all on one note, endlessly repeated. Jun 16, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Walter S Rocha shatters your preconceptions of cinema and imposes his own incisive, intelligent logic upon its language. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/16/24 Full Review Audience Member hallucinogenic western at it's best, a kind of sequel to 'black god, white devil' Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member "Deus fez o mundo, e o Diabo o arame farpado." BEM MELHOR que Deus e o Diabo na Terra do Sol. Tem um certo humor envolvido e umas bizarrices que são sensacionais. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review raphael g Important to watch, if you're a fan of Glauber Rocha and Brazilian culture. Beautifully shot. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Brasile. [it.wikipedia.org] Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Again, Rocha's strongest achievement is in sound design and the use of song for narration. Other than that, it's kind of like Jodorowsky with about 90% of the surrealism removed. If that doesn't sound dull to you, well, it is to me. I had a really, really hard time making myself care about what was going on or who was killing who. It does move at a good clip, at least, but I was still pretty bored and disinterested, despite appreciating how unusual it was. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews
