Noel Murray AV Club As always with Hong's films, Oki's Movie goes through stretches where it seems aimless and self-indulgent, followed by stretches where it's sharp, funny, and poetic. Rated: B+ Apr 19, 2012 Full Review Eric Kohn indieWire A curious oddity worthy of multiple viewings and lengthy contemplation, but its tricky formalism makes it less overtly satisfying on an emotional level. Rated: B Apr 16, 2012 Full Review Nicolas Rapold New York Times Mr. Hong's casually brilliant feat of storytelling, akin to an ingeniously wrought suite of literary short fiction. Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 15, 2012 Full Review Kathy Fennessy Video Librarian Magazine Though no one would describe Oki's Movie as a revenge film in the conventional sense, the way Hong [Sang-soo] allows Oki to have the last word gives her back the autonomy Jingu attempted to stifle. This like the others is script heavy and seems to have a lot of people stood around talking in a cold climate. It's an obscure look at one woman's various relationships. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member A cinematic masterpiece by Hong Sang Soo Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Hong Sang-soo its a master presenting the life and the diferent parts of it . His movies are in some way a little slow but never boring and his work are lessons of life. You can feel the life happening when you watch it. If with some filmmaker we can use the word of "Slice of life" to describe his work is Hong Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member A young film student prepares for her big debut.
