See more Sandye K @RT36576801 02/18/2025 Once again Hollywood takes a good book and turns it into a terrible movie. Additionally, whenever a no-talent actress bankrolls (Exec Producer) a film just so she can star in it it has flop potential. Heili was so full of herself she didn't even make an attempt to research Steph or attempt to play her. The characters (save Lula, played by Sheri Shepherd) are horrible. Debbie Reynold made a feeble attempt at Grandma Mazur and failed. Casting didn't even try!! Jason O'Mara & Daniel Sunjata are about a 1-Minus on the hot meter as Morelli and Ranger, and again, they didn't even bother to read the book to get in character. This was all Hollywood and no Jersey. Heigl and O'Mara didn't even attempt Jersey and Sunjata was so un-Ranger it was pitiful and painful to watch. With the books you always looked forward to seeing what Janet Evanovich would come up with next...with this movie you just counted the minutes until it was over. This could have been a mini-series with the right cast, but no-talent, impressed with themselves actors made it an epic fail. See more Read all reviews
