New Jersey native Stephanie Plum (Katherine Heigl) has plenty of attitude, even if she is broke after six months of unemployment. Desperate for money, Stephanie convinces her cousin to give her a job as a recovery agent with his bail-bond company. What she lacks in experience she makes up for in moxie, and she intends to bring in her cousin's biggest bail-jumper: Joe Morelli (Jason O'Mara), a former vice cop and murder suspect who broke Stephanie's heart when she was in high school.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Dull and unfunny, One For the Money wastes Katherine Heigl's talents on a stunningly generic comic thriller.

alan g Katherine Heigel has a nice ass. Roteiro e enredo bons. Vale apena assistir? Sim. Nota: 6,5 Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/17/24 Full Review John G Really good movie. Heigl is excellent in the role of New York niece girl. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/10/24 Full Review Matteo G Very funny and entertaining...she is very good in doing the naive girl Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/06/24 Full Review Nelson B I didn't hate the movie but that might have been due to my having read all the books it was (very) loosely based on. Fans of Stephanie Plum were probably ready for anything. Evidently there weren't enough of us. I'm not sorry I bought the DVD but I'm sure not many people would agree. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/24 Full Review Dinos K I am so tired of Katherine Heigl's rom-coms. Her career has been over for years now but she still makes movies that no one likes Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/24 Full Review Read all reviews
